Diary of an unemployed foodie

Hi, fellow bloggers! I am Lola Jutta and, this is my first serious blogging effort after months of setting up this account. First of all a big thank you to my fellow blogger brother #HiteshKumar Yes, i have been busy! busy doing nothing. I was waiting and writing on subjects i felt will look best for my debut blog write-up. It seems now,  it was a huge waste of time. While sitting in front of this desktop, in a cyber cafe just around my house, I realised that, waiting for the perfect moment or perfect write-up will rob me off of my spontaneity. I am still honing my writing skills, but then this is an ever learning process. Healthy criticism is always welcome and so is a deserving appreciation. I am going to oscillate between topics which are close to my heart and i feel i am entitled to have an opinion about them, ranging from misunderstood #feminism to raging news topics to frivolous ranting to heartfelt experiences.
Coming back to Me, It has been almost 10 months since i left my job as a news editor in ALL INDIA RADIO #AIR #NEWDELHI I traveled to Mumbai, with the  hope to start a new life there with my brother and sister-in-law. A quick background information about my family. I live with my retired father in Delhi, my mother passed away when i was 16 and my brother lives in Mumbai with his lovely wife. I think this is enough for now ;)
I have been working in #AIR for 3 years and felt the need to move on in professional front. So i decided to quit and look for a new job in Mumbai. Well, the reason i chose Mumbai, was because i decided to run away from my mad lifestyle in Delhi. 3 years of maddening work not just in office but even at home, this sapped the energy out of me. Home-makers (not housewives) have the most difficult and thankless jobs in the world. This is the ugly truth that no one wants to acknowledge. Managing home, kids and nurturing a family is the most herculean task of womanhood. I luckily didn't have to do the nurturing part but just managing home, took a toll on me. This coupled with 8 to 10 hours in office, when i was deputed as News Feature Editor in the Features department, and with six days working, it was like leading a marathon life with a split second breather, i.e. the single off day i used to get from my work. Although i liked my work, but i guess i cannot stick around any longer if i don't love my work. So i quit. Hoping to start a new life with the much-needed break that i deserved. I went to Mumbai in the month of November 2014 and stayed there for 5 months, i decided to come back and pack and take away my remaining stuff. When i came here, the situation was heart-wrenching.....(To be contd.)
Look for this space tomorrow, till then take good care of yourselves :)
